PetBuddy Services

New York, NY

Why we need the technology upgrade

PetBuddy Services began thanks to founder Oscar Salazar's own dog, a Puggle named Draco. Oscar was living a busy New York City lifestyle and facing the dilemma of having to send Draco to his family in South America to give him the love he deserved. A pet friendly office is hard to come by, so Oscar decided to turn his love of dogs into a career, founding PetBuddy Services in 2011. PetBuddy offers GPS walk tracking using QR code check-ins, with walks personalized to each client. Email messaging, social media updates and real-time video sharing is also available for walks and extended dog sitting. PetBuddy Services is in need of mobile solutions to handle their large demand and Oscar believes a technology makeover from Verizon will help him and his walkers stay better connected on the go, so he can keep owners better connected with their pets.

Crash Pad Hospitality

Chattanooga, TN

Why we need the technology upgrade

Crash Pad Hospitality was started by two climbers who moved to Chattanooga, TN to follow their passion. Soon they discovered there was no haven for climbers or adventurers in the area, so they started The Crash Pad as a boutique hostel and basecamp for outdoor enthusiasts. Two years later Crash Pad expanded by opening the Flying Squirrel, a neighborhood bar and restaurant on the same grounds. With a technology upgrade from Verizon, Crash Pad hopes to integrate mobile payment systems for guests and help its employees stay connected while they're out climbing with brand new smartphones.

Boutwell Collision

Findlay, OH

Why we need the technology upgrade

Boutwell Collision is a family-run and family founded small business, specializing in auto repair. The business is in the process of being passed down from Mark, the founder, to his daughter, Vanessa, who is also a talented designer and artist. Boutwell offers collision repair, custom painting, vinyl wrapping and restoration services for classic and modern cars. Vanessa's business uses most of its resources to provide unparalleled quality of work, leaving little room for technology and she hopes an upgrade from Verizon will help her stay connected as a business owner, artist, and designer.

Jacobsen Salt Co.

Tillamook, OR

Why we need the technology upgrade

There are less than a dozen people harvesting natural salt across the United States, and one of them is Ben Jacobsen. Jacobsen Salt Co. harvests salts using eco-friendly techniques from Oregon's Pacific coast and sells it across the nation. Acclaimed chefs and major retailers like Williams-Sonoma are among Jacobsen's clientele and the business is expanding constantly as the market for high-end ingredients continues to grow. Ben's company uses technology daily and keeps business documents on the cloud but as Ben is constantly traveling from harvesting sites to clients, he hopes a technology upgrade will give Jacobsen Salt Co. access to reliable high speed Internet across the region.
